Financial Donations
At Ashe County Habitat for Humanity, we build because we believe that everyone, everywhere should have a healthy, affordable place to call home. When a family helps build or improve a place they can call home, they are also building a better community and a better life for themselves.
Your donation will help local families in need. With an affordable, stable home, families have more to spend on food, medicine, child care, education and other essentials. Your support can help us do more.
If you would prefer to write a check to make your gift, please mail it to us (made payable to Ashe County Habitat for Humanity):
West Jefferson, NC 28694
If you would rather drop off your check in person, you can bring it to our ReStore (open Fridays and Saturdays, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.):
West Jefferson, NC 28694
ReStore Donations
Our Habitat ReStore is a “home improvement store” that accepts large and small donations of new or gently used furniture, appliances, housewares, building materials and more. Proceeds from the sale of these items help provide the funds needed to build homes in Ashe County.
Construction Donations
Donations of new building materials can be made to Ashe County Habitat for our construction projects. Donations can also be made to Ashe County Habitat in the form of professional services required on the construction site, such as masonry, HVAC installation, electrical wiring, plumbing, and more. To make an in-kind donation, please contact JB Byrch, Construction Supervisor, at jb@ashehabitat.org.
Non-Construction Donations
In-kind donations can also be made in the form of non-construction services. Lawyers, accountants, graphic designers, interior designers and financial counselors are just a few examples of those who have contributed their time and resources to help further Ashe County Habitat’s mission.
Lunch Donations
We provide lunch at our job sites and at the ReStore for volunteers. If your business, community group, church group, family, etc. are interested in providing lunch for our volunteers, we would love to accept your donation! Please call us, and leave a message so that we can get in contact with you!

Volunteering
Volunteering at the ReStore or the construction site is a terrific way to see our mission in action and to see the fruits of your labor at the end of the day.
We welcome volunteers of any skill level. Please bear in mind that volunteers under 18 must have a signed youth waiver in order to volunteer. All adult volunteers will be asked to sign a volunteer release form.
