GET INVOLVED AND VOLUNTEER

There are many ways to be involved with Habitat. You can swing a hammer, work at the ReStore, work on a committee, or volunteer for events and other behind-the-scenes happenings.

Volunteering

Volunteering at the ReStore or the Construction site is a terrific way to really see our mission in action and to see the fruits of your labor at the end of the day. Click Here to fill out the volunteer form!

We welcome volunteers of any skill level who are over the age of 16. Please bear in mind that volunteers age 16 and 17 must have a signed youth waiver in order to volunteer. All adult volunteers will also be asked to sign a volunteer release form.

Join a Committee

By joining a committee, you will become a part of the work that brings our projects to life, makes them run smoothly, works with our partner families before and after their houses are built, builds support in our community, and more. Check out our committees and see if you have an interest in any specific areas.

Ashe County Habitat for Humanity also relies on volunteers with special skills. You don’t have to be on a committee to volunteer your special skill. Below are some of the ways you can apply your distinctive abilities to our work.

  • Fundraising Events

  • Pickup Crew

  • Box Truck Drivers

  • Scheduling Donation Pickup and Deliveries

  • Graphic designers

  • Writers for grants, newsletters and correspondence

  • Photographers and videographers

  • Office work and data entry

Your efforts can absolutely make a difference in a family’s life. For more information about volunteering call us at 336-846-2525 or use the contact form to notify us of your interest.
